Getting Organized!

Getting Organized is the most important thing to do!

Let's just say the first couple of weeks are already hard but if you don't have a system it will only get worse as you start to collect more and more coupons. *Remember! We don't throw away coupons until they have expired... and even then we can send them over seas so that our Soldiers can use them. They can use them for up to 3 months after the expiration date!

Okay so what do I mean get organized?

There are many different ways to organize your ads and coupons.

Beginners tend to use the Envelope and Folder Method.
  1. Buy some simple envelopes from the dollar store (DOLLAR TREE).
  2. When you recieve your inserts go ahead and cut all of the coupons you know you will use. If I where you I'd cut them all because some coupons make you money!
  3. Write the date on the envelope. For my site and many others like it, I will tell you which date a certain coupon was released so that you can simply go back to that envelope and retrieve it.
  4. Place all of your Ads and coupons  for the week in the folder and place it in a safe place.
  5. Now browse, browse, browse
  6. After you've figured out what items and coupons are needed for a particular store place them in another  envelope and write the name of the store on it. NOW GO SHOPPING

Intermediate Couponers usually upgrade to the Milk Crate and Envelope Method
This is because by now you've figured out a way to get more inserts
  1. Alright so go get a milk crate and file folders. They are usually at Walmart for about $10.00 and $20.00  or amazon below

  2. Get the ads and entire inserts and place them inside the folders according to week ending date.
  3. When it's time to shop go to the dates, pull the insert and clip.

Now major couponers use the Binder Method!
  1. Get a three ring zipper binder, folders and some baseball card inserts.

    1.
  2. Put the ads in the folders
  3. Place the coupons in the baseball card holders
  4. Go shopping, now you have all of you're coupons at your fingertips.
