If you're a newby, you've probably won't recognize anything but the manufacturer coupons.
  • Manufacturer coupons are the one's you find in the Sunday paper or mailbox every Tuesday.
    • Make Sure to ask your friends and neighbors for their inserts so that you'll accumulate more coupons.
    • Ask your mail for extra inserts on Tuesday's. Trust me , they will gladly gve them away.
    • Check apartment complexes. Those with community mail rooms usually leave there ad's in a tote beause they don't fit in the mail box.
  • Also included are store coupons. For example, if you open up the Walgreen's add you'd most likely see a coupon for Ajax or Palmolive Dish Liquid. This coupon says Walgreen's only.
  • We Also have Catalina Coupons. Have you ever gone to Kroger and noticed the coupons you get after your purchase that prints with the receipt? Those are Catalinas
  • The Best coupons ever are the $ off your total coupons. These also print with your receipts. These coupons are given out when there is a special on a specific Item. For example, buy 3 nature valley's granola bars receive .50 OYNP (off your next purchase). These coupons can be used on anything and sometimes you'll get up to $5.00 off woo hoo!
  • Some store's offer ECB's or Register Rewards, or Up Rewards. These are a type of catalina that prints after you buy a certain item. For example you'll see a lot of adds for Body Wash.. Buy 1 a $4.99 get $2.00 register rewards. This can be the best thing going because along with coupons you may make more money in register rewards than you actually spend!
  • Scenario
    • Buy 2 Nivea Body Wash at $3.99 each receive $3.00 RR (register rewards)
      • Use (2) $2.00 off manufacturer coupons
      • Use (2) $2.00 off Target coupons
          • total will be $0 (you will have to pay tax)
          • Receive $3.00 RR

We also have what we call IVC, instant value coupons. These are a type of store coupon. You'll find these in Walgreen's Coupon booklets that comes out every month and are usually at the front door of all Walgreen's. You can also get them from watching videos on Rite-Aids Video Values site (Click this link).
Last but not least we have Internet Printables. Internet Printables come in different varieties. You will have some that are manufacturer coupons and some that are store coupons.
      • Printable coupons can be found everywhere. Check out the sites to the right of the page and Click Here!
      • Most stores have their own printable coupons on their own site!

    SO WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT?

To get the best prices Couponers STACK their coupons!

Stacking is combining different types of coupons for one item together.

    Look at this example.

    Herbal Essence Shampoo = $4.99

I have a Target (store coupon) for $2.00 off
I have a Manufacturer coupon for $2.50 off
At most stores I can use both coupons for that one item because they are different type of coupons. The general rule is 1 manufacturer and 1 store coupon allowed per purchase! Woo hoo I just scored some Shampoo for .49!
    • The trick is you have to know each stores coupon policy.
    • Most Stores will allow up to 1 manufacturer coupon + 1 IVC coupon + 1 store coupon for one Item!!
    •  Click the Coupon Policy Tab above to learn about your favorite stores.
